The deep woods of the grove are filled with creatures enticing or fearsome in equal measure, but so too are the skies above. The fae skip in the wind across the treetops, gryphons wheel through the air with dragons in a delicate dance, and the phoenix makes a nightly climb into the sun and back down again in a blaze of glory. And yet, no creature of the skies can compare with the Ziz whose wingspan can block out the sun. When the Ziz flies, all fall silent to hear its musical cry, and watch in awe each glimmering beat of its wings. Hidden in the highest mountain peaks it begins to build a nest, readying for the next flight to seek out a mate perhaps, if it finds one brave enough to be a companion to the king of birds.
